 Overseas Signature Arrangement
If one of the director is coming to HK to meet HSBC banker, other directors and shareholders can arrange their signature outside HK:
  • Certification of Identity
    • Please bring below to any HSBC branch or international bank.
    • Arrange document certification and also signature witness by the bank staff.
    • The bank staff should give staff chop so that HSBC Hong Kong can identify who he is.
    • The documents are :
      • passport;
      • residential address proof - any utility bill, bank statement, ID card, driver licence with name and residential address on it (not more than 3 months old if it is utility bill);
      • bank a/c opening form : BusinessVantage Account Opening Form
        • where to sign - pls refer to below
    • After certification, the staff may insist sending directly to HSBC Hong Kong, or allow you to send by yourself.
    • If sending to us, please send to Room 813, 8/F, Hollywood Plaza, 610 Nathan Road, Kowloon, Hong Kong
    • If sending direct to HSBC Hong Kong, pls send to below address and advise us once doc has been sent :

Bank Account Opening Form - Where to Sign
Being director, AND also authorized signatory to operate bank a/c - sign within "signature box" on Page 9;
Being director, AND NOT authorized signatory to operate bank a/c - sign within "signature box" on Page 10;
- and also sign as chairman on Page 13;
NOT director, BUT authorized signatory to operate bank a/c - sign within "signature box" on Page 9;
Being shareholder BUT NOT director, AND NOT authorized signatory to operate bank a/c - No need to sign on bank a/c opening form
- just prepare certified true copy of passport and residential address proof;

 Business Credit Card
  • Complete info is available in HSBC website : www.hsbc.com.hk
  • Requirement :
    • Locked deposit to secure issuing credit card spending limit;
    • Minimum is HK$30,000;
    • Spending limit = locked deposit;
  • Procedure :
    • Express your intention to HSBC and they can send you doc for signature:
      • To apply for credit card;
      • And to arrange locked deposit;
    • Give address and contact phone no. to HSBC to send above doc;
    • Sign and send those doc back to HSBC;
    • Confirm to HSBC about availability of money in bank a/c, and then to proceed processing signed doc;
  • Collection of credit card
    • Give address and contact phone no. to send by DHL;
  • who to contact in HSBC:
  • bank charge
    • annual credit card fee will apply;
    • to setup credit card, there will be bank charge of around HK$350;
