  • Pls note below which may be helpful :
    • Name of customer = Your company name
    • Purpose of letter - such as "investment in China"
    • Addressee of letter :
      • such as "Shanghai Trade and Commerce Bureau";
      • cannot put "to whom it may concern";
    • Language - issue the letter in English or Chinese?
    • Charges - remember to authorize SCB to charge the service fee from your account
    • Remarks - content of letter
      • Please note that for account opened for less than half a year, the bank will not state the conduct of the account in the reference letter
    • Collection methods
      • Send to - specify an address for the bank to send the reference letter
