If one of the director is coming to Hong Kong to meet HSBC banker, other directors and shareholders can arrange their signature outside HK :

• Certification of Identity
  • Please bring below to any HSBC branch or international bank.
  • Arrange document certification and also signature witness by the bank staff.
  • The bank staff should give staff chop so that HSBC Hong Kong can identify who he is.
  • The documents are :
    • passport;
    • residential address proof - any utility bill, bank statement, ID card, driver licence with name and residential address on it (not more than 3 months old if it is utility bill);
    • bank account opening form : BusinessVantage Account Opening Form

  • After certification, the staff may insist sending directly to HSBC Hong Kong, or allow you to send by yourself.

Being director, AND also authorized signatory to operate bank account	- sign within "signature box" on Page 9;
Being director, AND NOT authorized signatory to operate bank account	- sign within "signature box" on Page 10; - and also sign as chairman on Page 13;
NOT director, BUT authorized signatory to operate bank account	- sign within "signature box" on Page 9;
Being shareholder BUT NOT director, AND NOT authorized signatory to operate bank account	- No need to sign on bank account opening form - just prepare certified true copy of passport and residential address proof;
